Taking controlled free-fall down the side of a mountain to new heights Afterglow promises to do it like no other Ski film before it. Hailed by many as one of the most cinematically profound ski movies ever made, here at Highpants we just call it spectacular.

Presented for your viewing pleasure is the newly released skiing spectacular Afterglow, a movie that starts out incredible then wraps it in LED lights. So sit back, relax and turn the lights down low for this one.

Released Sunday night the 11 and a half minutes of spectacular is the product of Sweetgrass Productions and features the stunning and hypnotic visual effect of LED’s put to full effect with the darkness of night. While the movie in its entirety (see below) is stunning the night time scenes are where the magic’s at, so much so that it has its own cut called the ‘Lightsuit segment’ (above).

According to the films blurb ‘Filmed as a partnership between Sweetgrass Productions, Philips TV, and the Swedish Agency Ahlstrand & Wållgren, its two parts creativity, one part branded content, and a pinch of masochism for good measure. Overall, it’s an incredibly unique partnership between our vision of skiing and the color and light technology behind the Philips Ambilight TV.’
