While people not of Scottish descent may believe bagpipes are the Most Annoying Thing Ever we have discovered irrefutable evidence that they are in fact cool.

Launching UK’s Radio 1 Big Weekend in 2014 Radio 1 Glasgow let rock and roll bagpipes take the lead, in the process proving that bagpipes ARE cool. With sporrans on display and kilts hanging low the ‘Red Hot Chillie Pipers’ were set loose on an unsuspecting world. A band that may just be the most Scottish collection of musicians since the Proclaimers performed their classic track ‘I’m Gonna Be’ (500 Miles).
