Touch typing training has come a long way since the early days of putting a blank sheet of paper over your hands and letting your fingers fly. Now our touch typing digits can be zombie killers or as in our favourite new pastime they can see Sesame Street characters beating the daylights out of each other.
An exercise in the strangest kind of educational fun Sesame Street Fighter combines retro gaming, typing training and steroid induced rage on S St. Time wasting has now evolved to a whole new level.
Typing frantically you can watch Bert beat the living daylights out of Oscar the grouch, keep ahead of the competition and you are rewarded with a knock out punch.
With the pure 8 bit soundtrack playing in the background the player must type the words flashing above their character to get their chosen Sesame Street look alike to throw a punch. You really do need to keep your eyes fixated on the screen as the keys don’t always register. Typing the words from memory won’t cut it, you have to keep an eye on when the character you are typing has registered, and occasionally retype the character in question.
A strangely humorous pass time that lets you tune up your typing skills with visuals that encourage you to never look away from the mayhem on screen. Choose your character and let those fingers fly.
