Mike Judge the creative mind behind Office Space has joined forces with HBO to produce a new comedy to tempt us to spare them a little viewing time. Silicon Valley the sitcom gives us a humorous peak into the world of the of the Silicon Valley start-up.

Reminiscent of the English comedy The IT Crowd with just a dash of Beavis and Butthead along with a twist of Office Space thrown in just for giggles, Silicon Valley may just be the next gold rush of the comedy kind for HBO.

The show is said to be partially inspired by Judge’s own experiences as a Silicon Valley engineer in the 80’s. This is a very good thing, Judge’s comedies work well when they draw on common experiences, Office Space, King of the Hill and even Beavis and Butthead all drew on a little piece of Mike’s past.

HBA have scheduled 8 episodes for the first season which will debut on Sunday April 6 at 10:30PM in the US. The cast will include T.J. Miller, Thomas Middleditch, Josh Brener, Martin Starr, Zach Woods and Kumail Nanjiani.

Let’s hope that Home Box Office have another hit on their hands.
