Science-fiction transportation moved a step closer this week with Aero-X announcing their hoverbike will begin selling in 2017. Doing the impossible is never cheap, $85,000 not cheap in this case. Those who have to have a hoverbike can plonk down a $5,000 pre-order now and jump the future queue.

The Aero-X uses two ducted fans to allow the pilot to fly at up to 72 kph mere meters off the ground. Carrying the pilot and a passenger the Aero-X will traverse any landscape you point it at.
