Festo is an engineering, research and development company capable of amazing things. The latest bionic masterpiece to bound out of the Festo labs is the incredibly cool BionicKangaroo. Hoping around on two feet and a tale this is leading edge technology wrapped in a very unique shell.
Festo has a talent for emulating nature, the robotics Mega Corporation is forever challenging its engineers to create robotic systems that move in natural ways. The results are usually nothing short of stunning.
Presented for your viewing pleasure is the latest animal to appear in Festo’s zoo of bionic animals, all of them amazing in their own way. Following electric Skippy’s antics are two videos that will mesmerize you with their toe tapping beat and strange fluid motions. Sit back, relax and let the Festo zoo entertain you.
Over the years Festo has developed incredible automated animals, from jelly fish to flying penguins. They really do have a unique way of showcasing their robotics and AI technology. Making Festo’s animals even more incredible is the fact that they try to emulate more than just movement, they also emulate the animals behavior, the animals are usually autonomous and sometimes interactive.
Here at Highpants we wonder if Festo’s management hates its engineers, especially the robotics engineers. As soon the men with pencils in pockets have developed the latest technology management order the next boundary to be pushed. It’s just lucky they’re damn good engineers.
