Fans of the Simpsons and Family Guy should get set for the greatest double reverse cameo crossover episode of all time when the Family Guy hosts TV’s original funny family the Simpsons. The Simpsons Guy episode is set to air in 2014, while it will be an episode of the Family Guy it will be in Homers hometown of Springfield as both families get to know each other.
According to Fox, the Family Guy characters will quickly bond with their Simpsons counterparts. Peter (Seth MacFarlane) and Homer will debate whether Pawtucket or Duff is the best beer, Stewie (MacFarlane) will be quite taken with Bart’s prankster ways, Lisa will take Meg (Mila Kunis) under her wing to find something the young Griffin is good at, and Lois (Alex Borstein) and Marge will ditch housework together.
Both episodes are of course produced by Fox, with a number of small crossover appearances already happening on both shows. Most recently Seth MacFarlane guest starred on the Simpsons, providing the voice for Ben, a charming married man who met Marge online when she accidentally signs up for an online dating agency.
Anticipation is building; seats are being booked while snacks are in preparation. Sadly the episode is still a long way off as it will be shown as part of season 12 which is set start on September 30 2014. Doooh.
