The flexibility of LED’s is allowing artists and engineers to find entirely new was to work with light. Michael Cann is one such mad scientist who has managed to push the limit of what can be done with LED’s and the results are amazing.

After experimenting with LED panels Michael managed to combine 6 LED panels containing a matrix of 64 x 64 LED’s into a single self-enclosed LED cube. A cube that contains a crazy 24,576 individual LED’s. Being a software engineer creating the cube was only the first step, Michael has also created software applications for playing games, watching videos, and generally turning it into an illuminated mater piece.
